Wirral Citizens Advice has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer.
Carol Johnson-Eyre, who previously worked as the Corporate Engagement Manager for Merseytravel, will lead Citizens Advice Wirral – the oldest and leading advice organisation for Wirral – into the future. Carol started in post on the 17th August.
Philip Howley, Chair of Citizens Advice Wirral, said, ‘We are delighted to have someone with the breadth of Carol’s experience across a range of sectors joining us at CA Wirral.
Carol, who has worked in the voluntary, community, transport and health sectors, has been responsible for regionally and nationally recognised award winning projects, and the trustee board feel she is the best person to lead the CA Wirral into the future’
Carol, 41, said: ‘This is a huge opportunity to continue to deliver impartial, quality advice services to people across Wirral, and support individuals to improve their lives.
With the fantastic track record CA Wirral already has, I look forward to building on previous successes as well as making it easier for people to get free impartial quality advice, at a time and place that suits their lifestyles.
Building on the successful telephone advice line service, we will explore new ways to give advice such as at people’s place of employment and explore ways of giving advice through the web and digital methods. As well as continuing to support those residents who prefer face to face advice.
As a resident in Wirral all my life, I am delighted to be able to use the skills I have developed and professional experience I have gained throughout my career, for the benefit of my own community’
Philip Howley added,
“We would like to thank the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Damon Taylor, who has taken up a new post as Chief Executive for Age UK (Cheshire East), for all his hard work.”
“The kind of experience and leadership that Carol Johnson-Eyre brings to CA Wirral will be invaluable in supporting us to deliver excellent advice services across Wirral,”
“Her appointment completes a highly experienced and knowledgeable team of both paid staff and volunteers. Together with the trustees, we will continue to achieve our aim to continue to deliver, ‘impartial advice that changes lives’ to residents across Wirral”
