Our Amazing Volunteers

Citizens Advice Wirral was delighted to host a volunteer recognition event in November 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The event saw nearly 50 of Citizens Advice Wirral’s 109 volunteers being presented with a long service award by the Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Les Rowlands.

The Mayor, who presented certificates to the volunteers said at the event,

‘I am astounded by number of volunteers eligible for this award. 13 volunteers with long service of over 3 years received a Bronze Award, 17 volunteer received a Silver Award for over 5 years’ service, 12 volunteers received a Gold Award for over 10 years’ service and 4 volunteers received a Platinum award for over 20 year service. This amounts to nearly 400 years work of volunteering! The impact that you all have providing advice is fantastic’

Carol Johnson-Eyre, Chief Executive Officer said, ‘Citizens Advice Wirral had provided advice to Wirral residents for over 75 years, and is we are indebted to our volunteers to deliver our services. Volunteers help improve lives giving advice on issues such as employment, consumer, debt and benefits. The value of volunteering last year alone amounted to £458,623.’

Carol went on to say

‘A big thank you on behalf of Wirral residents, and the trustees and staff at Citizens Advice Wirral for you dedication and hard work providing free advice.’
