Christmas Closure dates

Citizens Advice Wirral is closed on Friday 22nd December from 4pm and reopens on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.

 

Where to get help during the Christmas holiday period

 

Emergency food and fuel support ONLY 

Wirral Council is available on Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Friday 29th December 10am-4pm Call: 0151 606 2005. If you are facing a crisis, you can’t wait and are applying outside of these hours, please call 0151 677 6557 to speak to their out of hours service. 

 

Mental Health support

24-Hour All-Age Urgent Mental Health Crisis Line supports people to access the help they need and is here to help 24/7, 365 days a year on 0800 145 6485.

Alternatively, someone experiencing a mental health crisis can attend, in person, Compañeros, a crisis cafe run in collaboration with Cheshire Wirral Partnership and The Spider Project. This service is open 10am-10pm daily, 365 days a year and can be found at: 2a Price Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6JN.

If somebody is in a life-threatening emergency, they can attend Accident and Emergency or call 999.

Samaritans are available on 116 123 24/7, 365 days a year.

The hub at Involve Northwest is open 27th and 28th December. All their services are still running on the Wednesday and Thursday 10am-4pm call 0151 644 4500.
