Before you start
To make things quicker and more accurate, it helps to have:
- Letters from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Recent bank statements
- Your council tax bill
- Wage slips (if you’re working)
You can complete the calculator anonymously if you prefer.
Important information
The calculator gives an estimate only. Results depend on the information you enter.
It is not suitable if you are:
- In hospital
- Living in residential care
- On strike
- In prison
