Mind and Money Project Wins Prestigious National Award for Supporting People
Across Liverpool City Region

We are delighted to announce that the Mind and Money Project has been awarded the
national title of ‘Most Impactful Project’ in the Take Early Action category at the Citizens
Advice Annual Conference Ceremony.

Accepting the award on behalf of the partnership, Heather Jessop, CEO of Citizens
Advice Liverpool, praised the dedication of everyone involved in delivering the project
and the difference it has made to thousands of households across the region.
Funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the Mind and Money Project
is co-ordinated by The Women’s Organisation and delivered by Citizens Advice services
across the Liverpool City Region, alongside partners PennySmart and Vauxhall Law
Centre.

Since its launch, the project has supported nearly 3,000 households, helping people
facing financial hardship and poverty to regain control of their circumstances. Through a
blend of practical money advice , training and wellbeing support, the project has helped
residents maximise income by over £5.18 million, manage more than £5.43 million of
debt, and access over 1,000 fuel and food vouchers ensuring immediate relief alongside
long-term stability.

This national recognition reflects the commitment and innovation of the staff,
volunteers, and partners who work tirelessly to ensure people get the support they
need in all communities across city region. The project’s impact is strengthened through
its collaborative network, including:
Citizens Advice Liverpool, Citizens Advice Wirral, Citizens Advice Halton, Citizens Advice
Sefton, Citizens Advice Knowsley, Citizens Advice St Helens, PennySmart, and Vauxhall
Law Centre.
