New partnership strengthens Ask Us Wirral’s ability to provide essential information and advice to Wirral residents
Ask Us Wirral, a leading provider of information and advice services in Wirral, is thrilled to announce its relaunch with the inclusion of a new, additional partner, Involve Northwest. This exciting partnership aims to expand the reach and impact of Ask Us Wirral, ensuring even more individuals across the region have access to vital support and assistance.
The relaunch of Ask Us Wirral signifies a significant step forward in delivering comprehensive and accessible information and advice to the residents of Wirral. By joining forces with Involve Northwest, Ask Us Wirral will further strengthen its ability to address a wide range of issues affecting the community, including benefits, debt, employment, housing, health and care, legal matters, consumer rights, and more.
The rejuvenated Ask Us Wirral service, funded through Wirral Council and Wirral Integrated Care Board, has launched its operations on April 1st, 2024. Committed to its mission of offering free, independent, confidential, and impartial information and advice, Ask Us Wirral will build upon its legacy. Leveraging the expertise and resources of partner organisations; Citizens Advice Wirral, Age UK Wirral, Wirral Mind, Wirral Change, and Wirral Mencap, Ask Us Wirral remains dedicated to supporting individuals from all walks of life.
Carol Johnson-Eyre,Chief Officer at Citizens Advice Wirral said: “Our partnership with Involve Northwest marks an exciting new chapter for Ask Us Wirral. By combining our strengths and resources, we are poised to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of our services, ensuring that anyone in need can access the support and guidance they require.”
Ask Us Wirral encourages residents to take advantage of its comprehensive range of services, including a freephone helpline, webchat, email advice/assistance, and pre-booked appointments. The service will also offer face-to-face advice for individuals facing language barriers, complex correspondence, or vulnerable situations.
As part of its commitment to community engagement, Ask Us Wirral will continue to collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the voluntary sector, healthcare providers, housing organisations, statutory services, and more. Additionally, the service will remain adaptable to evolving community needs, ensuring it can effectively address emerging challenges.
