New Walk-Up Advice Session Launches in Woodchurch to Improve Access to Support

Residents in Woodchurch and the surrounding areas will soon have easier access to free, independent and confidential advice, thanks to a new weekly walk-up session launching this April.

From Friday 10th April, advisers will be available each week at:

The Hoole Road Hub, 78 Hoole Road, Woodchurch, CH49 8EG
Every Friday, 9:00am – 12:00 noon

The new session is part of an expanded outreach programme designed to make it easier for people to get help when they need it, without the need for an appointment.

Walk-up advice sessions offer a simple and welcoming way for people to speak directly with a trained adviser about a wide range of everyday issues, including benefits, housing, debt, money worries, energy bills, and wellbeing.

When I worked with local residents to get the Hub set up all those years ago, the ambition was clear: to create a welcoming place where local people can access the support they need, right on their doorstep.

This new weekly service from Citizens Advice Wirral brings that vision to life, offering free, confidential advice on the issues that matter most – from the cost of living to housing and wellbeing.

Making Advice More Accessible

While many people continue to access support by phone, email, or through self-help digital advice terminals based in trusted community locations, face-to-face support remains vital for those who prefer to speak to someone in person.

These sessions are designed to remove barriers and ensure that more people across Wirral can access timely, practical advice.
