Gambling Support
Gambling Support: Helping you take control
Gambling can affect every aspect of life – financial, mental, and emotional. The Gambling Support service is here to support anyone impacted by gambling, including friends and family members, by offering practical and emotional assistance to rebuild stability and well-being.
What is gambling?
Gambling includes any activity where money or belongings are risked on chance. Common forms include:
- Lotteries and scratch cards
- Sports betting
- Casinos and slot machines
- Online games with loot boxes or in-game purchases

Signs of gambling related harms
It can be difficult to recognise when gambling has become a problem. Look out for these signs:
- A preoccupation with gambling
- Increasing bets to maintain excitement
- Spending more time or money gambling than intended
- Difficulty stopping despite negative impacts
- Gambling more than you can afford to lose
- Being criticised about your gambling by someone else
- Being affected as a result of another person’s gambling
- Feeling guilt and regret after each bet
How can we help?
Our Gambling Support service provides tailored support to help individuals and families overcome the challenges caused by gambling. Here’s what we offer:
- Practical advice: Our trained advisers can help with issues like managing debts, applying for benefits, or securing housing.
- Holistic support: Together with our Social Prescribing Link Workers, we offer well-rounded support to address the wider impacts of gambling on your life.
We provide support through phone, video, or face-to-face appointments, as well as walk-up advice sessions at multiple locations.
