Volunteer

Giving your time as a volunteer with Citizens Advice is a challenging, but very rewarding role, and makes a real difference to the lives of people in Wirral.

Our volunteers work in a variety of roles, ranging from telephone advisers to those who give advice in face-to-face interviews in our offices and outreach locations. We have people that specialise in helping those with mental health issues and others that specialise in financial problems and consumer issues.

We also have opportunities for office administrators.

For whatever role you take, we give you full training and ongoing support.

If you’re interested in volunteering to work with Citizens Advice Wirral and would like to know more, have a look at the Volunteer FAQ and our page on Volunteer Roles.

We do ask that volunteers apply to their local office, so volunteers at Citizens Advice Wirral are usually Wirral residents. If you live in surrounding areas such as Liverpool or Cheshire, we would suggest that you contact your local office to find out about volunteering opportunities available there. We also ask for a minimum time commitment of 1 day per week as this ensures that you feel part of the team and are able to progress through your training at a reasonable pace. Once you are volunteering in your chosen role, committing to at least one day per week will enable you to stay up to date with key developments and will also ensure that your role is rewarding and fulfilling.

Please note, if you have been a client of Citizens Advice Wirral, we will not be able to consider you as a volunteer until a minimum of 6 months has passed from the last time we advised you
